Editor's Take:

Joji began as a chaotic YouTube comedian before reinventing himself as a melancholic singer. His music blends lo-fi R&B with sad melodies. Ballads 1 made history as the first album by an Asian-born artist to top the Billboard R&B chart. Glimpse of Us became one of his biggest songs. He keeps a low profile. His introspective style has influenced many bedroom pop artists. He rarely gives interviews.
