Editor's Take:
Trump is one of the few people whose career has spanned property, reality television and the presidency, and each chapter has fed the next. He understood earlier than most politicians how celebrity, branding and direct communication through social media could bypass traditional party structures. His return to the White House in 2025, after losing in 2020, made him only the second president to serve two non-consecutive terms, after Grover Cleveland in the 1890s. Supporters see him as a disruptor of a political class that ignored them, while critics regard him as a threat to democratic norms. Few modern figures divide opinion so sharply, which is exactly why he remains so widely discussed.
