Terms of Use

The rules for using this site, including our disclaimer.

About these terms

These terms apply when you use whosharesmybirthday.co.uk ("the site"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Use at your own risk

The site is for general information and entertainment only. Birthdays, biographies, events and other facts come from public sources such as Wikidata and Wikipedia. They may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Everything is provided "as is", without any promise or warranty that it is accurate, complete or available. Don't rely on the site for any important decision.

The people featured on the site are not connected with, and do not endorse, Who Shares My Birthday or its products.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, the site or its content. This includes indirect or consequential loss, loss of data and loss of profit. For any order, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and your legal rights as a consumer.

Orders, prints and downloads

  • Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
  • Posters are personalised to you. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, personalised items can't be returned just because you changed your mind. Digital downloads also can't be cancelled once you've started the download.
  • If your print arrives damaged or faulty, contact us through our contact form within 14 days and describe the damage (we may ask you for a photo), and we'll arrange a reprint or refund.
  • Physical prints currently deliver to UK addresses only.

Photos and text you add

You confirm that you have the right to use any photo or message you add to a poster, and that it isn't unlawful or offensive. You let us use it only to make and deliver your order. We may refuse orders that break this rule.

Content and credits

Facts come from Wikidata (CC0). Biographies come from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0). Portraits come from Wikimedia Commons and are credited on each page under their own licences. The site's design and original content belong to Who Shares My Birthday.

We link to other websites, including shops. We aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
