Editor's Take:
Clinton's career arc traces America's evolving relationship with women in power. She moved from Republican youth activist to Democratic standard-bearer, absorbing the cultural shifts of the civil rights era and Vietnam opposition. Her time as Secretary of State showcased both diplomatic ambition—the Asia pivot, Iran sanctions—and the perils of modern scrutiny, as her private email server became a defining controversy. The Benghazi attack in 2012 and her health care reform failure in 1994 illustrate how her boldest initiatives often met fierce resistance. Winning the popular vote yet losing the presidency in 2016 encapsulates her paradoxical place in history.
