Editor's Take:
Aurora creates ethereal, folk-tinged pop that sounds unlike anything else on the charts. She grew up in a small Norwegian town and began writing songs as a child. Runaway found an audience slowly, then exploded on TikTok. Her voice in Frozen II introduced her to millions of children. Her songs often deal with nature, mythology and empathy. She is an outspoken environmental campaigner. Artists such as Billie Eilish have cited her as an influence.
