Editor's Take:
Arnold Schwarzenegger has reinvented himself three times. He was the world's most famous bodybuilder, then one of Hollywood's biggest action stars. He then became Governor of California. Each move was ambitious and doubted. As governor he backed climate laws and worked with both parties, though budget problems marred his record. His immigrant story is central to his appeal.
