Editor's Take:

Stephen Lang has built a career that sits equally in the theatre and in big-budget cinema. Broadway audiences knew him well before Avatar made Colonel Quaritch his best-known screen role. His Civil War parts in Gettysburg and Gods and Generals reflect a real interest in American history, which later earned him recognition from the Lincoln Forum. Beyond Glory, a solo play he took to troops serving overseas, shows a commitment that goes beyond casting calls. Returning as Quaritch in the sequels, and playing the Blind Man in Don't Breathe, he keeps finding new audiences.
