Editor's Take:
Simon Pegg made his name by turning British everyday life into genre cinema. With Edgar Wright and Nick Frost he moved zombies to a north London pub and an action thriller to a sleepy village. The jokes worked because the characters felt real. Hollywood soon came calling. He moved into Star Trek and Mission: Impossible without losing his everyman charm. He has also spoken openly about his recovery from alcoholism. Many fans admire that honesty.
