Editor's Take:
Federer's longevity separates him from mere champions. He dominated between 2004 and 2009, appearing in 20 of 24 major finals. After knee surgery in 2016, he returned to win three more majors, defying age. His transformation from a temperamental junior into a model sportsman earned him 13 Edberg Sportsmanship Awards. The Big Three era he anchored with Nadal and Djokovic created tennis's golden age. Off court, his business acumen produced billionaire status by 2025, whilst his foundation targeted impoverished African children. Grace and longevity define his legacy.
