Editor's Take:
LP spent years as a working songwriter before her own voice reached a mass audience. She wrote for major pop acts while her solo albums made little impact at home. Lost on You changed that, becoming a huge success in countries such as Italy, Poland and Greece. Her powerful, soaring vocals and androgynous style made her instantly recognisable. She continues to tour widely, with a strong following in Europe. Her success shows how streaming can give a second chance to artists overlooked by radio.
