Editor's Take:
Johnson is one of Britain's most colourful and divisive politicians. He moved from journalism to become mayor of London, then foreign secretary and prime minister. He was the leading face of the campaign to leave the EU and won a big majority in 2019 promising to get Brexit done. His time in office was dominated by the pandemic and ended amid scandal. Few modern politicians have been so recognisable.
