Editor's Take:

Travis Scott built his career on atmosphere as much as lyrics. His records layer heavy bass, distorted vocals and psychedelic textures, and his live shows are known for their intensity. Astroworld, named after a lost Houston theme park, made him one of the leading figures in hip-hop. He has also proved a skilled brand partner, with best-selling trainers and a fast-food meal. His career was overshadowed by the 2021 Astroworld Festival crowd crush, in which ten people died. He returned with the album Utopia in 2023.
