Editor's Take:
Norris transformed a childhood marked by poverty and crippling shyness into martial arts mastery and Hollywood stardom. His Air Force service in Korea sparked the competitive career that made him undefeated champion by **1968**. Bruce Lee's **1972** casting gave him legitimacy, but the four-walling gamble on **Good Guys Wear Black** proved his commercial instincts. Cannon Films recognised him as their franchise anchor throughout the **1980s**, whilst **Walker, Texas Ranger** sustained his fame for nearly a decade. The **2005** internet meme phenomenon granted him an unexpected second cultural life, proving his persona transcended any single medium.
