Aamir Khan is known for making fewer films and choosing them carefully. He often changes his body dramatically for a role, as he did to play a wrestling coach in Dangal. His films pair entertainment with social messages about education, sport and ambition. 3 Idiots and Dangal found huge audiences far beyond India. His television show tackled taboo subjects in front of millions. He is now one of the most influential figures in Indian cinema.
