A general election was held in the United Kingdom on 6 May 2010 to elect 650 MPs to the House of Commons. This was the first election to be held after the minimum age of candidacy was reduced from 21 to 18.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It consisted of two semi-finals on 6 and 8 May and a final on 10 May 2014, held at B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen, Denmark, and presented by Lise Rønne, Nikolaj Koppel, and Pilou Asbæk.
